Rasheed Wallace Last Second Heroics!

I am what I would call a functional geek.  I can do the geek but also can do the sports fan, as I assume many of us can.  It's just not stereotypical for comics and sports to go together in the same person, but that's why stereotypes suck.

Anyway, I don't get to watch many live games of the Association, but since I am a Tivo owner I keep tabs on all games and all happenings through the daily ESPN NBA news shows.

What happen last night was just silly.  Let me set this up for you.  The game was in the fourth quarter, the score was 98-95, the Nuggets were up three.  There is only 1.5 seconds on the clock.  Again, Nuggets have the ball and are about to inbound.  On their end of the court.  All they have to do is inbound it and game is over.  But check this out...

If you are reading this in a RSS reader and the video does not come through, click here.

Now that is just silly.  Silly I tell you.  Great shot by Wallace.  Amazing actually.  That's less than a 5% shot and he nailed it.  What is greater is that shot sent it into overtime where the Pistons pulled it out.  I'm not a Pistons fan, but the shot would have been minimized if they would have went to OT and then lost.

Just thought I would share one of the most amazing plays of this season.  Somebody tell whoever inbounded the ball for the Nuggets to make sure he throws the ball down to his basket.  Duh.  Not like you would think someone would steal it and then nail a half court shot.  But c'mon, it obviously happens.

Okay, enough jocking...back to geeking.
