Stefano Caselli's lil' page!

If you're like me you like looking at good art, especially good comic art.

I could go on and on about my favorite comic book artists, I have many, which I guess disqualifies them as "Favorites". I tend to lean towards the older artists though, the stuff I grew up with.

But there has been a new guy coming up the ranks. I met Stephano in 2001 at the Chicago Wizard World convention and since then I have purchased everything he has done and have stalkingly (just kidding) watched him come up the ranks from some Marvel one shots to Devil's Due G.I. Joe to some major Marvel tie ins.

What amazed me about Stefano was not only his art (I still recall watching him doodle a sketch of Daredevil for me with my jaw down around my ankles), not only his enthusiasm for his art and comics, but his attitude. He was a stand up guy, very friendly, very giving. Since he lives in Rome, Italy I haven't seen him since, but from time to time I can catch him online and we have a quick chat about comics and life.

So this post is to shed some light on a talent who is getting the recognition he deserves, both as an artist and as a man.

Below is some images he has posted on his blog. I'll take them down if he threatens to sue me. (I'll also recant my statement about him being a nice guy too!)

I have to get around to posting a link to his post too...it's definitely worth keeping up to date on. One thing it lacks though is news about new comics that are coming out that he works on. I need to get on him about that. At the least he should tell me and I will post it....

Check out some of his recent image posts:

Here are some of Stephano's Books!

Again, go check out the Stephano Caselli blog for more of his posts and art.
