But this recent e-mail from a fanboy has gone a bit too far:

Guys,
Whats up with your talk show. Are you guys going all Rob Liefeld with your deadlines? Can we expect the next talk show sometime in January 2009?
<SPOILER ALERT> Do not read further if you do not want to know the secret plot twist to Marvel's Secret Invasion!!!!
It turns out that the Captain America that was killed was a Skrull, and that the real Cap has been underground with Nick Fury since before the Civil War. Fury and Cap have been the only ones up to this point who knew Skrulls had invaded Earth, and they have been plotting on how to defeat them.
Characters that should have stayed dead, but have recently been reappearing are all skrulls...Winter Soldier, Captain Marvel, etc.

It also turns out that the "Earth" of all the Marvel books written by Bendis has actually been the Skrull homeworld all along. And, dressing up like human super-heroes is just something they all like to do for fun. By the end, the reader will realize that the actual Earth was destroyed during the REAL World War Hulk.

It turns out that the last five years of Marvel stories have all just been one huge "What If?" storyline. It will end with the Watcher in the final panel of the last page as he calls us all "Dumbasses" for buying all of the Bendis stories. The entire Marvel Universe will then be relaunched with the debut of the #1 issue of THE ASTONDING ADVENTURES OF CAP WOLF AND HIS MIGHTY WOLF-VENGERS. Cap Wolf's Avengers team includes Werewolf by Night, Wolfsbane (from X-Factor), Moon Wolf, Feral (from X-Force), Sabertooth, Tigra, and six different versions of Wolverine. Each of the six versions of Wolverine will eventually be spun off into two different series. Finally, 12 Wolverine books per month, BABY!
<DOUBLE SECRET SPOILER ALERT>
While the skrulls have been busy F***ing with our lives on Earth, the Annihilation wave has completely destroyed their homeworld. The Secret Invasion will end with the Skrull King agreeing that all Skrulls will be the slaves of humans as long as they can live on Earth and Earth heroes will protect them from things like the Annihilation Wave, the Celestials, Galactus, Kree wars, and everything else Earth has shown it can fight off even though every other technologically advanced species in the Marvel Universe is destroyed by any one of these things in the span of two comic panels.
