More Obama in our comic books!

obama_thumb[20]Publishers continue to put President Obama in our comic books!  Enough already!

Yep.  That’s our President being portrayed in a comic book with Ash!  A COMIC BOOK WITH ASH!  A comic book titled “Ash Saves Obama!” Has this become ridiculous or what?

Mark my words, we’ll mock this in the future.

oh. my. god.

Here's a piece of that article:

Q: "What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of using a historically accurate President as opposed to a fictional one?"

A: "I think fictional Presidents are silly. I want a real person, someone who is a real possibility at the very least – like when Hillary takes over in issue #10."

Hillary is taking over in #10? What? Is he going to bring harm to the president? (I hope typing that doesn't set off an FBI alarm, lol).

Man, some people are just whores when it comes to historical individuals. And by people I mean the comic book creators, not Obama or Hillary Clinton. ;)

Did you see that Bluewater already has a Michael Jackson comic book coming out? Can you believe that? Talk about making money on someone's loss!

Comics....you can do better!

what! Micheal Jackson! Aw, come on.
I for one don't miss that guy at all.

Btw what the interview fails to point out is not the fact that a historical president is being used (figures, Marvel and DC have always used historical presidents, no big deal), but the fact that they've clearly brought it to an excess with Obama.
Also, no one seems to be able to draw him properly. He looks an afroamerican in a suit like any other.

hmm, maybe I'm wrong about DC, because I know they once had Lex Luthor as POTUS, but I remember them having also used historical ones.

But here's the thing, even though real POTUS's where used in the past, they weren't in the comic to attract readers. The POTUS wasn't used to make money.

I don't know if it makes me more sick that comics are disgracing the office or that people are so infatuated with Obama that they will buy comics depicting a cheap, knock off of the real thing.

I mean, I'm all for someone liking Obama. But read his books or something. Let's not be watching him kick ass next to Ash. Silly.

I guess now's a good time to promote a new feature at MGYG.com. I will be posting new stories and opinion pieces as Obama. Yep. You heard me right! I can sell out too!

And MJ is going to posthumously post some stuff too.

Think that would be selling out?

;)
